"Embrace" features the story of Douglas Harper, a middle-aged war vet struggling with his past, anger, and aggression. When his estranged daughter shows up one night, Douglas must wrestle with his demons as he attempts to reconnect with her (Abigayle) and finds she has unfortunately inherited her father's inner struggles.

Kent Wheeless is an award-winning film composer based in Charlotte, NC. His score to the dark horror film Morbid established him as an exciting new voice in the horror and dark thriller genre. Kent's score for @Tori_Love was awarded Best Score at the city's 48HR Film event; the film also took home best picture, best director, and best writing.
Billy Joseph, Jr. is a model and actor from the southeastern United States. He started modeling in college and through the years worked in various theatrical productions, as well as storytelling and historical reenactments. Today, he is actively modeling and acting with a growing portfolio that includes print, digital, commercial, television and film projects.
Tyler Peterson is an up-and-coming filmmaker based in Spartanburg, SC. Studying under industry icon Josh Solberg, Tyler received an MFA from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a focus several subjects including Screenwriting. Tyler focuses today on turning his projects in to fully realized works of art that hit on the aspects of humanity.
Cate is a captivating lead actress known for roles such as "How to Kill a Butterfly" and "A Professor's Vengeance".
Billy is a strong lead actor known for roles such as "Lake Sinister" and "Say His Name".
"Embrace" is not just a film festival project. This story chronicles the reality of mental health across age, gender, background, and more. It can manifest as aggression, depression, and more. This story peels back the curtain on the struggles that we all deal with in one form or another. Our goal is to bring awareness to this topic and encourage people to "Embrace" those around you.
Any creative endeavor comes with risks and challenges. Anything could still go wrong during production and post-production. The good news is we are experienced and prepared! Ready to pivot in any direction and deliver a fantastic product as intended.
